Missed-call answering

How do I forward only the calls I miss and keep my number?

Use “no answer” forwarding. You dial a short code once from your shop phone. After that, calls you don’t pick up go to the backup line, and calls you answer work like always.

Your number stays the same. Customers never see the change.

Bayline is a demo plumbing shop. Call like a customer with a leak.

Don’t use the switch in your phone’s settings

The “Call Forwarding” switch on an iPhone or Android sends every call, even the ones you’d pick up. For missed calls only, use your carrier’s code below.

AT&T

  • Turn on: dial *61* then the 10-digit backup number, then #. Example: *61*5551234567#. Press call and wait for the confirmation.
  • Turn off: dial ##61#.

Verizon

  • Turn on: dial *71 then the 10-digit backup number. Example: *715551234567. Press call, wait for the confirmation tone, then hang up.
  • Turn off: dial *73. This turns off all forwarding on the line.

T-Mobile

  • Turn on: dial **61*1 then the 10-digit backup number, then #. Example: **61*15551234567#.
  • Set how long it rings first: add ** and the seconds before the #, from 5 up to 30. For 20 seconds: **61*15551234567**20#.
  • Turn off: dial ##61#. To put everything back to normal, voicemail included, dial ##004#.

Office lines, VoIP and other carriers

Ask your phone company for “forward on no answer” to the backup number. Some call it conditional forwarding. Prepaid, business and resold plans don’t always have it, but their support line can tell you.

How many rings

About 4 rings, around 20 seconds, gives you time to grab the phone and still catches the caller before they hang up.

Test it

Call your shop number from another phone and don’t answer. After the rings it should go to the backup line. If it goes to your voicemail, the code didn’t take. Dial it again or call your carrier.

Where we fit

We answer the calls you miss as your shop, send emergencies to your cell, and text you every caller. We help you set up the forwarding, nothing changes until you dial the code, and you can turn it off anytime.

It’s an AI voice, and it tells callers so. Works for any plumbing or HVAC shop in the US with a phone.
